Welcome to the Leflore County School District Curriculum Department!

The LCSD Curriculum Department is responsible for the Pre-K-12th grade instructional programs. Additionally, the department coordinates the staff development program that provides continuous education and instructional support to the District's professional staff. The Curriculum Department services are inclusive of, but not limited to:

  • Articulation of the elementary, middle, and high school programs
  • Instructional support for elementary and secondary classroom teachers
  • Coordination of all program improvement projects
  • Administration and analysis of national, state, and district assessments
  • Management of state and federal grants
  • Coordination of professional learning activities including conference attendance and consultants

The department takes pride in the implementation of the Mississippi College and Career Readiness Standards that will continue to prepare students for an increasingly competitive global economy. It is imperative that we,as a district and community, prepare our students to enter career fields that offer higher wages and greater potential for growth. The rigorous, unorthodox standards will prepare all students to be successful in institutions of higher learning and  business communities.
